Katie Beazley is a director, performer, and collaborative artist currently located in Blacksburg, VA. She graduated in May 2019 with a B.F.A. in Musical Theatre from Samford University, and is currently pursuing her M.F.A. in Applied Theatre and Public Dialogue at Virginia Tech. Katie believes that theatre is the most effective way to educate people, whether they be on the creative team or in the audience, and plans to pursue a life providing perspective. Katie recognizes the way that an individual's identities are in conversation with one another; she seeks to co-create spaces and pieces that honor the dialogue inside of every person by opening that conversation space to a community level in hopes of creating more empathetic communities working towards collective understanding and progress. She loves breakfast food, hiking, puns, yoga, and working with others to make exciting pieces of art come alive.
