If you are a white person, I challenge you further: how will you proceed as a white artist in an industry that has frequently ignored, abused, and tokenized BIPOC individuals and culture?
As artists, we cannot claim to be for education, empathy, and community if our own form furthers oppression and ignorance.
We have to start by listening, by educating ourselves, respecting boundaries white people have ignored, and providing opportunities that Black people and members of other marginalized communities have been denied for so long.
This is the least we can do.
